'SMART Hydrobike' is a UTeM initiative aimed at keeping the Melaka River clean.
Recognizing the vital role rivers play in sustaining the environment, Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM) has launched the state's first 'SMART Hydrobike' green initiative. This innovative product is specifically designed to address the pressing issue of water pollution by efficiently removing floating waste, helping to preserve the Melaka River’s ecosystem.
Developed by UTeM researchers, the water bicycle not only offers a sustainable solution for river cleanup but also serves as a valuable contribution to both the local community and the Melaka government. With its potential for wide-scale impact, UTeM is ready to commercialize the water bicycle, should there be interest from organizations or individuals eager to adopt this eco-friendly technology to help protect our waterways.
