Projek Akuaponik Pintar Bertenaga Solar @ Krubong, Melaka is an initiative aimed at promoting sustainable urban farming through the integration of aquaponics, solar energy, and Internet of Things (IoT) technology. This technical report documents the development and implementation of eight smart aquaponic systems for selected families in Kg. Tanah Merah Krubong, particularly those from underprivileged backgrounds.
The project was driven by the need to enhance food security, reduce living costs, and introduce innovative agricultural solutions to the local community. By combining solar power with an automated aquaponics system, we have created a self-sufficient farming method that not only minimizes environmental impact but also empowers individuals with the knowledge and tools to cultivate their own food.
Throughout this report, we provide a comprehensive overview of the project's objectives, system components, implementation process, and the impact on the community. Special emphasis is placed on the integration of IoT, which allows for real-time monitoring and efficient resource management. Additionally, the report highlights the broader social and economic benefits of the initiative, particularly in reducing household expenses and fostering technological awareness.
This project was made possible through the dedication and collaboration of various stakeholders, including technical experts, local authorities, and the participating families. We extend our sincere appreciation to all those who contributed their time, expertise, and support to make this initiative a success.
It is our hope that this report serves as a valuable reference for future community-driven smart farming projects. We believe that the knowledge and experiences shared here will inspire similar initiatives, contributing to a more sustainable and resilient future for communities across Malaysia.
